I woke up later than I should have wanted to. I probably shouldn't have done the random wandering the previous night.

I think I walked to a nearby supermarket (or else I did this the previous day). I bought some general stuff so that I wouldn't collapse of lack of energy during the day. Then I went to Gare de l'est which apparently translates into 'the east train station' or thereabouts. I picked up my ticket to Switzerland, since I wasn't sure if this would work properly. (I bought the ticket on the french website using yahoo's babel fish to translate the french, including how to get the ticket) Picking up the ticket had no problems!

Then I caught a train to the Louvre. I got in and paid 10 euros to see it all. I had a look at the Mona Lisa first, then wandered around looking at all the other stuff. The Louvre is massive. I thought it would be large, but it is a little larger than that. I found later that it's supposedly the largest museum in the world. It's large.

This corridor of amazing paintings seems to go on toward infinity.

Mona Lisa.

Something strange is happening in this scene. It looks like there is a rip in the fabric of space (whatever that means).

The museum itself seems to be a work of art as well.

I overheard someone say that Napolean's Apartments are closed for the day. But I stumbled upon and it was open! It was really good too.

Awesome chair.
Then I tried to see some things I hadn't yet seen... There are a lot of sections. The main problem was that I was getting quite tired.
This thing used to exist on this section of ground. The foundations still exist.

The foundations of the big castle thing.

I wandered around for a while longer. Walking through museums makes me feel tired, so eventually I had to stop. But I spent about 5 hours here and I just skimmed through everything basically, and skipped entire floors. It's an amazing museum.

I wasn't sure what to do with the rest of the afternoon. I found a Barclay's bank, which is one that doesn't charge me for making withdrawals. I got some money then bought dodgy food from street vendors because I was very hungry. Then I caught a train to near the tower again because I'd seen that there some boat trips near there. I paid for a boat trip and then went on it.

This street has lots of stores selling Australian Aboriginal stuff.

Really long boat.
